  I have been trying to ad/change passwords via Telnet. I can't get pass the create-I am denied acces, or use -c to create. I have tried and neither is working. Anyone have any ideas?? I am thinking that hte4 person from whom I took the site over has the password protect protected. Lisa

You should be able to modify the old .htaccess files by leaving out the -c option.

If all else fails... create new ones and delete the old ones

Deb, Not sure of what you are saying, I am havimg difficulty with a lot of the tech stuff, but am slowly getting a grasp. I tried to "modify" but couldn't do it.
  Also I need to add some "titles" for moderators, how do I do that? I would like to give my pastner an acces number with title, but am not sure if I should do it through Telnet, or if there is another screen. it is difficult to continue what someone else has built, as there are a lot of things that are ahead of what I know. Thanks
