Terra,
Sorry to bug you about this again but am I right in saying that even though you're using my alt email address the sendmail function won't function until I've transferred the domain name over ?

Our QMail server will now accept and send mail for the 'dmcity.com' domain...

If you send mail from your scripts, they are by default 'webmaster@dmcity.com', unless you override with the '-f' (from) switch...

e.g.
/usr/lib/sendmail -t -fdean@dmcity.com

Terra,
Could you please set your QMail server up for spinal-research.org as you did for dmcity.com ? (No reply notification ATM for xspinal-research's UBB)

Thx.

Dean.

Where do you want the mail to go???

FutureQuest mail server?
or
awebpresence mail server?

Just want to be sure, because I have to deactivate parts of this account with surgical precision which requires a great deal of time to accomplish...

Are you wanting all email:
research@spinal-research.org

to be forwarded somewhere else?

Also, is the 'simon' email address mispelled?
simohn.barnes@virgin.net

please double check your aliases, and if you want the shell account forwarded, let me know where to forward it to...

Andrew,
Yes, all mail that comes into spinal-research.org will go to the aliases set up. They may decide sometime in the future to log into the spinal-research.org mail server but for the time being and while there current stocks of stationary point to whatever@isrthq.demon.co.uk, it's simpler for all just to get it forwarded. So to clarify -
simon@spinal-research.org --->simohn.barnes@virgin.net
(yes it is spelt correctly)
research@spinal-research.org ----> research@isrthq.demon.co.uk
fundraising@spinal-research.org ---> fundraising@isrthq.demon.co.uk

Will this be ok ? As for the shell account am I right in thinking you mean retrieving mail from a telnet prompt ? If so don't worry about it. I'm the only one administering their account and I won't be using it.
Going back and looking at email setup from the CNC my initial interpretation of the shell account was wrong. Apologies for the misunderstanding.
Thx again,

Dean.

Err Terra, not quite sure what you mean here bud. Spinal-research.org never actually used the mail server on awebpresence, the're carrying on using their old @isrthq.demon.co.uk email address. That's why I set the forwarders up on their account. Did I do that bit correctly ? Sorry for the confusion.
So to answer your question, I think , please set up FQuest to handle spinal-research.org mail.

Dean.
