[Not a] Sendmail glitch

For some reason sendmail doesn't appear to be working on my newly installed UBB. I used the path /usr/lib/sendmail , this still correct ? Could somebody just drop a test post and reply to themselves just to see if it's a problem related to me. I'm trying to keep this quiet down here as I've already made one dumb mistake with this particular UBB

try:

/var/qmail/bin/sendmail

That's the path I'm using and it should work.

If you're looking for the path to a particular program, sometimes typing 'which programname' will work... like 'which sendmail'

I have mine the same as you do Dean.

Try using a different email address, just in case, the domain transfer issue is getting in the way of it utilizing your email addy that is connected to the domain name.

You@yourdomain.com wont work on the FQuest server until the domain is transferred.

It's a thought anyway....

Didn't work for me Deb. I changed to my alternative email but no notification.
Did you get a mail for your reply posting ?

Dean.

Dean, you are not completely setup in the Mail system yet...

If you look closely at the email address you used on your order form, you will know why...

After you make the choice to transfer your domain with Internic, then I will finish setting up the mail system to accept your domains email...

As it stands right now - everything should be working for you, *except* the mail...

Hope this helps...

To be honest Deb the only thing that's stopping me telling you to transfer my domain over now is my concern for the servers speed. Yes, I read Andrews posting and that's why I'll stick with you because I can see he's working on it; and more importantly he's keeping us informed. But I would appreciate you looking at this sendmail problem... if there is one
Thx.

Oops, sorry Terra. You must have squeezed your message in as I was typing mine Yes, I thought to myself after placing my order that my domain name email could cause confusion. Would giving you my alternative d.barry@cableol.co.uk address help matters ?

I've been asked that many times before - so below is a possible submission to the FQuest FAQ...

>>>>FAQ
Nah, all of them are spur of the moment, shots from the mind... I try to never duplicate...

I guess it all just depends on the mood I'm in, and what I'm thinking about at the time...
