A extra tip on this - the DreamHost staging option wasn't working for me, even after giving it a few hours. It was much faster to just get a Unique IP and use that IP for my staging. It does cost $6/mth at Dreamhost, but you can cancel it any time. It was worth it for the time and hassle it saved me.

Doing a search across all my files for "/big/dom" was a quick way for me to find most of the adjustments I needed to make. The /big/dom directory structure seems unique to FutureQuest, it certainly wasn't the same at my new host anyway.
Also, if you're doing anything tricky in your .htaccess file, you might need to double check that at your new host. Could be easier to start fresh with a minimal / clean .htaccess while staging and slowly add lines back into the file as you test them.
