This is a really, really long time to go without e-mail and no update from FQ. Come on, FQ! I think we all understand that stuff happens but it is not polite to not keep us informed.

Your status page points to a twitter account that hasn't been updated in three years. This page links to another twitter page that was last updated five months ago. What are we supposed to do?

I have been with you since 2004. This is the worst treatment I have ever received here. Sorry to say, but you need to be more respectful of your customers.

harry, you're spot on....

rec'd 1 email and responded....it got bounced back for protocol errors. the person i was emailing has a gmail account.

this is no way to run a business.

Email just poured in and all smileys are on green.

Well done, but I definitely would like to see an after-action report in what his was and how its going to avoided that this happens again.

It was over 24 hrs with no email and seems to be back working now

This is just a suspicion, but I wonder if teRRa is still there...or maybe not full-time? These system breaks would make him crazy, and he'd be posting details.

Connected to xxx.xxx.xxx.xx but sender was rejected.

An update I was provided from Terra and Kevin:

After looking through all of the internal options, we believe the problem is outside of our control at this time. We did see some internal DNS issues which Kevin repaired but it did further confirm that the issue is with our IP provider, ARIN.

It appears that they aren't delegating the DNS authority of our IPs to us anymore but are still routing traffic to us. So Terra is in the process of contacting them and working with them to investigate and fix the issue.

so email coming from fq is being rejected even though it was being accepted prior to the outage and this isn't a fq problem, hmmmm??!!
