Re: Network Outage
2 days with no information or progress on the email sending issue is just not the way to run a company. Futurequest is obviously on its way out. I've been with the company for over 20 years and have stood by it through thick and thin.
I just paid a ton of money to GoDaddy and am in the process of switching my business account over to them. It makes me cringe but I need reliable hosting.
I've recommended to my remaining clients to find another solution for their sites and email.
Once my business account is settled, I'll work on getting my gigantic personal stuff transferred to another company.
It sickens me to have to resort to gmail and companies like GoDaddy but it's the way of the world. Small, private companies can't survive in this world anymore.
This all started about 2 years ago when there was that complete shut down with absolutely no communication and we didn't know if Fquest had been compromised or if they were all dead or what.
Weird way of closing your business, Terra. If you can't keep the service up you need an exit plan and you need to communicate it clearly to your loyal 20-year clients. You don't just keep breaking down and not informing us of why and when service will be restored.
I run a small business myself and it's really hard to compete with the big conglomerates who are shoving us out of business. But as I've scaled down and adapted and re-evaluated, I've NEVER lost a client due to bad service or poor communication.
Just throw in the towel and give us a timeframe so we can get our businesses in order with some rational planning.
