Network Outage

It looks like there was a full network outage. Services are coming back online at the moment. I am still not sure what the underlying issue was and technicians are still investigating what happened.

What has happened to the FutureQuest we used to know? Outages all.the.time, where there never used to be any.

There is a lot of good will built up over many years of reliability and good communication.

Questmail still not working for me.

Neither of my sites is actually loading (though one of them, weirdly, is getting responses on a ping; in Firefox, it will not load, and then tries to load https, even though I'm trying to load http). The other site is getting Destination Unreachable on a ping.

Traceroute is working to my sites, and I can ssh into them, but they are not loading over http(s).

Visionquest.net isn't loading.

Servers (both site and email) are currently working through the reboot process with a few needing manual reboots. They will still take some time to be fully operational.

Not much else to add from the twitter post at the moment. Servers are still progressing very slowly through the reboot with no hard ETA on when they will be fully operational.

Will they be online by tomorrow morning??? You seem amazingly calm. That's probably because you don't have a client yelling on the phone.

I have nothing. No email. No website. Oh, wait, my email that's hosted on Rackspace works, has never been down in 5 years. But FutureQuest email stability is a thing of the past, as is its website hosting stability.
