CNAME use to authenticate email?

Hi,
I have a Mailchimp list for one of my domains. Gmail has been placing some of the messages in spam lately. Mailchimp advised me to create new CNAME records to help with this.

1) Does this make sense as a solution?
2) If I use the DNS Manager in the CnC to create CNAME records is there anything I need to be careful of?

Thanks very much!
Erica

Re: CNAME use to authenticate email?

Assuming your domain is pointed at our DNS servers, yes that is exactly how to do it. Many site owners have setup many different forms of validation like this. Creating a small file with a special name is often done as well. The only way adding a CNAME would be a problem is if they wanted you to name it something you were already using or planned to.

Thank you, Kevin!
I thought I had a follow up question but as I wrote out the question I figured out the answer.
