Maximum API requests

I have a client's web application running here at FQ. My client now also needs an API interface - to serve requests from one of their other applications (not hosted at FQ).
Does anyone have experience with how many HTTP requests per timeframe are possible/permitted here?

Re: Maximum API requests

I run a PHP sitemap generator that crawls 613 pages and 2100 images. I specify "Make a delay between requests: 1 sec after 4 requests" and have never had a problem.
