Help with transitioning to Gmail

Hi,

I have been using futurequest as my email for the past 300 years. A combination of using email software like Windows Mail and Questmail.

I just find the last couple of years or especially after the last upgrade of questmail, it's really unpredictable. Sometimes it all loads fast, but sometimes (often) my mail will not load. Sometimes that doesn't matter, but sometimes when I'm waiting for something important, it does.

I have used my email address with the domain name that futurequest has hosted for decades, and I don't want to change my address. I have a gmail address, so I'm just wondering if somebody can give me advice on how to make the transition to gmail and keep my email address. Is just changing my current pop mail to a forward to the gmail address a good option or will that cause problems? Or can I just add my current pop information to gmail somehow instead of making it a forward.
