WordPress IRM

Hello,

I have a new WordPress site using IRM to generate the URL. It's domain is puzzlesforever.com. I've yet to find a workaround on WordPress to keep it from using the original site that my account is based off of customdrill.com in the URL.

With all the other sites I've built on FQ the URL has been generated perfectly using IRM. My guess is WordPress is the dirty culprit causing the site to break when I use the corrections WordPress suggests using the wp-config.php file or with no correction wants to default to customdrill.com/puzzlesforever in the URL.

Probably I'm either not implementing the corrections in the wp-config.php file or there is a better way to fix this. I'm really hoping there is a WordPress user here on FQ that has solved this problem. Thanks in advance if you are willing to share your secret!

Mark

Re: WordPress IRM

Hello Mark,

https://puzzlesforever.com/ is working fine for me, but the links are coded as
https://www.customdrill.com/puzzlesforever/

This link may help?

Re: WordPress IRM

Hi again,

You tried the Plugin "Velvet Blues Update URLs" ?

I suspect what has happened is when you created the WordPress site you accessed it via customdrill.com/puzzlesforever/ and as a result all relative links were created as customdrill.com/puzzlesforever/

The plugin they mentioned in that Link I provided earlier is designed for just that type of issue, you have it search for customdrill.com/puzzlesforever/ and have it replace those links with puzzlesforever.com

Re: WordPress IRM

It appears to change it on the index page when clicking on it i.e.-"Find Puzzles" however the other pages and links all continue to show customdrill in the URL. We ask it to update all of the following:
URLs in page content ( posts, pages, custom post types, revisions )
URLs in excerpts
URLs in links
URLs for attachments ( images, documents, general media )
URLs in custom fields and meta boxes
