Microsoft Outlook SSL Certificate Mismatch

"The server you are connected to is using a security certificate that cannot be verified. The target principal name is incorrect."

I've searched the forums and Google and tried the tricks but no resolution.

Has anyone figured out how to get FutureQuest IMPAP / mail.domain.com to work properly with Microsoft Outlook?

Thunderbird allows users to ignore the mismatch but that email program is getting long in the tooth and people want to use Outlook without the annoying pop up.

Re: Microsoft Outlook SSL Certificate Mismatch

Have you tried the settings posted here?:
https://futurequest.net/forums/showt...946#post185946

"Use mail.QuestMail.net as your POP and SMTP Mail server hostnames. This option removes the certificate Mismatch issue as the SSL/TLS Certificate used for mail.QuestMail.net is issued to QuestMail.net

You must use your full email address, user@yourdomain.com (as an example), as a username when using mail.QuestMail.net as a mail server hostname."

If you are using Secure Email then the ports would need to be:
Port 995 Secure POP
Port 993 Secure IMAP
Port 465 Secure SMTP

Re: Microsoft Outlook SSL Certificate Mismatch

Brilliant! It works. Many thanks.

Using the domain you provided for both IMAP and SMTP. The Secure Email ports were good.

It may be useful to append this information to the CNC.
