CSS style

Hello,

When creating a CSS file what template do I use? HTML? PHP? Perl? Empty? I am just starting out and I'm unsure what to do.

Re: CSS style

CSS is its own syntax. It is possible to put the CSS syntax into HTML code but that is somewhat unusual since most people want to include the same CSS file into multiple HTML or PHP files. So, CSS should really be its own template in whatever editor you are using.

Re: CSS style

From the CNC File Manager you would use "Empty"

Re: CSS style

Yes, in the CNC the template under create new file just makes a content free file with some header and footer information. You still need to know the language/syntax to put anything useful into that file. It has no CSS template because there isn't really a header or footer for those just a syntax.

Most people will install a much more capable web editor on their local system that understands the syntaxes and helps you make an actual web page instead of editing the files by hand (and typing in all of the language/syntax.

Re: CSS style

I see. I'm working on a chromebook so my options are limited for things I can install. Someone recommended CodePen to me so I have been doing the coding on there and copying it into my files on here. If there is a more efficient/easy way of doing this, I'm all ears.
