size of WordPress backup doubled ?

Hi, I noticed that the size of the backup that installatron generated for one of my wordpress sites almost doubled since last backup 6/28, and we haven't made any changes other than minor ones, and I'm wondering if I should care. It's different so it bothers me

There isn't any reason content-wise or wordpress component-wise that the site should have increased much in size, not that I know of, and I just checked her library to see if the client had been uploading files and nope, nothing new.

Has anyone else noticed an increase in the size of their backups? Is the backup process using different compression?

Just curious - Diane

Re: size of WordPress backup doubled ?

just for grins I made another backup after updating WP and some plugins and it's about the same size again, went from approx. 65mb to 126mb. In case it is of interest or matters, the installatron app estimated the size at 77 mb.

Re: size of WordPress backup doubled ?

There have been no changes with Installatron recently and as far as we are aware nothing has changed with the backup procedures, not that we can see a lot with Installatron...

I have set some auto backups for a couple of my accounts to try and see what file sizes I see and if any changes in those occur...
