The faulty switch has been replaced and overall, there was very minimal network disruption... Actually, so much less than we had originally thought that certainly all of the stars and planets were perfectly lined up...
As an aside, a huge amount of kudos to Kevin for making this crazy hard task go as smooth as possible due to the sheer amount of cabling he had to work with... Well done!
This concludes Phase 2 of the network upgrades and maintenance, and we'll be scheduling Phase 3 within the next two weeks...
