thoughts/opinions on available blogware

Hi y'all.

Ready to play with blogware on a limited basis, butI really have no current experience with which to base any decisions on which might be easy/flexible to use.

The apps available via The Manager are plenty enough that it could take me long to try/apply…

Rather than trying everything, it would be great to see/hear thoughts/opinions on what my fellow FQ'ers use, even if it falls outside the available apps.

I've done multiple scratch installs of WP and others on other hosts (a handful of years ago, though, so I'm not really current with my understanding), and I know my way around things well-enough to get something running without hand-holding/-wringing.

I'd be greatful for other perspectives <s>

WordPress is probably the most commonly used platform on the Net. That they automatically push security updates is a huge plus.

Security management is a concern, and it's good to know this.

I appreciate the thoughts.

thx
