installatron nagging

Hi - does anyone else continue to get reminders from Installatron to update Wordpress even though it's already up to date?

For example I received 3 reminders to update to 4.4.1 again this morning, one for each of the 3 blogs that are on FQ sites even though I updated it 2 days ago, and yesterday updated one of them again just to see if it would stop the emails.

I appreciate the reminders but would prefer them to stop after they aren't needed.

Is there something in my settings I should check? It seems pretty simple, either the blog installation is updated or not... but something is keeping the app from recognizing that.

This has been going on for a while. At least the backup location seems to have stopped moving around.

help - thanks

Re: installatron nagging

I had one account that the same thing was happening.

I logged into the App Manager, clicked to edit the installation and the version that was showing as installed was the older version.

Now I can't remember exactly what I did but I seem to recall clicking around looking at the various email options and backup options, not sure if I actually made any changes but then I Saved the settings and after reloading the version number updated to the actual version and I stopped getting the email reminders.

Re: installatron nagging

Hello Artemis!

I assume that you did the update in Wordpress and not with the AppManager? The AppManager didn't recognise the update.

Until you update the version within the AppManager you are going to receive these messages.

How to fix it:
1.) Login into the AppManager
2.) Hit the EDIT-Button of your Wordpress Installation
=> Normally the AppManager is now syncing your installation and you should see the current version number of your installation
3.) Scroll down and hit the "Save All"-Button

Best regards,
Manfred

Re: installatron nagging

Thanks Bob ! Thanks Manfred !

Yep, I have been making the updates from within WP. Was selectively applying them for a while. Not because of distrust of the app-manager this time (which is actually pretty good as those things I think), but because of distrust of the plugins. For example, Bulletproof (the security plugin I favor) added a feature with the most recent update which made sites inaccessible here without a little custom code (which they suggested). Of course I found it out the hard way first, I had a backup so no big deal but it was just extra work [whine out]

Yes, pressing the sync button inside the app manager did the trick ... I waited a bit to post this on purpose to make sure, but yep, it's been nice and quiet for a change... quite lovely...

Thank you,

A very happy grasshopper

Re: installatron nagging

Hello again Artemis,

Glad you got that installatron issue resolved

Since you mention your issue with the bulletproof plugin possibly you can share the fix with voiceguy in this thread...

Re: installatron nagging

btw, w installatron - I've noticed that lately at least, their email messages come about six hours after something happens, which is a little confusing. For example, I used the app to update do some updates on wp site about 6am this morning (the time stamp on the message that it was successful was 6:20) but the message didn't come until 12:24. This is all pacific standard time.
