I give up on Wordpress, need help, will pay.
The short version:
Will someone please give me a price for setting up WordPress on my site? The site for which WordPress needs to work is an IRM on a FutureQuest server.
The long version:
Someone referred me to this book which referred me to this site with step-by-step instructions on how to set up WordPress.
Here's the problem for me:
The names of terms used in wp-config.php do not correspond directly to the names of terms used in the FutureQuest My SQL Account Management page. That is my roadblock.
I am now so frustrated I want to break furniture; but, after the furniture is all broken, the site will still not be fixed .
I'm willing to pay in advance; but, I will need to see some kind of credibility information, like maybe you've been a member here in the forum for a couple of years, give or take.
A finished, working example will also teach me a lot more in a few minutes than weeks of beating my head against a wall.

Hello Alex,
Take a look at your CNC and see if you don't see a listing for "App Manager" in the left hand navigation.
If you do you can install WordPress using the CNC as noted in this Knowledgebase Article.
http://Service.FutureQuest.net/kba612
Install it to the subdirectory your IRM is mapped to.
You would have to do a "Change Domain Name" for the install after you have it installed (the APP Manager will only allow installation for the main domain name)
There is a WordPress plugin for changing the domain name you may want to try.
http://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-move/
Note that you will also have to Enable MySQL for your IRM in your CNC MySQL Manager first.

To be clear, I do not want a site built, just WordPress setup so I can begin to build the pages.

The CNC App Manager will install WordPress for you. Once installed you would manage it just as you would any manually installed WordPress site.

You would be able to install any template you want and/or plugins, all from the WordPress Management Panel. The App Installer just takes care of the heavy lifting in installing the basic WordPress application.

The Installer cannot create New Databases

I never was sure I got the database right so I never reached the point of considering the App Installer.
Let's just forget it. I'm sorry I wasted your time.

Hi again Alex,
Your MySQL is setup properly, you just need to create a Database, from your CNC MySQL Manager, to use for WordPress. Point and click...
There is no need to worry about users, properties and permissions with MySQL as they are all set for you here at FutureQuest and you simply manage your MySQL from your CNC MySQL Manager.

Re: I give up on Wordpress, need help, will pay.
Hi again Alex,
If you have any questions when trying to use the Installer you can just fire off an email to the Service desk and we would be more than happy to try and help. Service@FutureQuest.net
In your CNC MySQL Manager, you create a database for WordPress, just click Create new database.
Then using the App Manager from the CNC select WordPress and fill in the requested information.
That is really all there is to it, to get started...
