What is drupal?

The limit of my web page building expertise is a palin picture and text page in DreamWeaver 2004. I am therefore thinking of using something like these pre-built pages. I was told by someone in a chat session at Template Monster that these templates will furnish a mail form with a human challenge question, a blog and a forum similar to this one as well as the index page and related sub pages.

What is drupal?

Can a drupal page be edited in something like DreamWeaver 2004?

Are there reasons this is a bad idea? (Remember, I've no expertise in web page design.)

Drupal is a Content Management System (CMS)

Personally if I had no experience with a CMS I would choose WordPress over Drupal. Drupal has a history of being more memory intensive and the most current version, Drupal 8, I am not sure is compatible with the FutureQuest servers at this time.

WordPress has 100's if not 1000's of templates available many of which are free as well as paid.

I personally like Weaver II which provides multiple templates as well as customization.

Any CMS System does require that you maintain the site with any updates and upgrades as they are all frequent targets of hackers...
