Shared contacts app?

Not sure if this is the right place to post this one...

Looking for some sort of app (now that the App Installer is here!) that can be used as a shared contact/info database by our staff. Looking for something they can access on the road or in the office, so something through our website seems best.

We're looking to have access to customer contact info as well as notes about equipment owned, etc. Also dynamic, so if a tech makes changes on the road while at a customer location, it's a real-time update for all other users.

It would be password-protected, and not have sensitive data, but info we need when working on-site or at remote locations.

Looking for recommendations.

I use OwnCloud for that (and other things). Unfortunately it isn't in the App Manager yet.

Kevin - can you say a little more about how you're using ownCloud, and whether it would be appropriate for a small organization looking for file and calendar sharing? Thx.

I have really only used it for myself but it supports multiple accounts and can share data between them.

I essentially use it as a my server replacement for the non-email functions of Gmail and Dropbox. I have some files in it that get synced to all my devices and I keep my contacts and calendar events in it so that they are also available on all my devices.

It speaks CardDav so it can be synced with most contact managing software. I use the contacts from Thunderbird and Android.
