So, now I'm looking for another registrar that is reasonably priced and whose web pages work correctly. I have only very few days left to get this done.

Whom can you recommend that is low-priced and safe and whose web pages don't lead me in circles?
you can try with TheWebPole.com these guys provide reliable and quality service at affordable cost.. I am having my domain registered with them for quite long time... try if you are interested...

Re: Need recommendations on a Registrar

I've stuck with 1and1 just for registrar, don't laugh.

Their interface is clunky, and they just raised their prices to $12.99 or $13.99. I can't remember, they've raised it from $9.99 in the last year or so. They get you sold on the 99 cents for the first year, but why would you want a domain for just a year?

I don't do DNS with them, couldn't tell you much about it, but maybe it's time to do the ol' switcheroo to something cheaper, and easier to manage.

OpenSRS looks like they charge $95 a year for a reseller account?

I just switched to Hosting Ireland, a reseller for Directi Internet Solutions. 9.95 euros ($13.02). I didn't see their interface yet.

Correction on Hosting Ireland price: "First Payment Amount: 9.95 EUR, Recurring Amount: 12.95 EUR...[including] ID protection, this will stop your personal details from being displayed in the public whois database."
