wishing my NE Florida friends safety this weekend

It looks like y'all are getting started early with Beryl. Bob and the rest of y'all over there, keep your heads down. Like my buddy in New Orleans says, "be sure to put the TP on the top shelf".

Re: wishing my NE Florida friends safety this weekend

Hey Monty

1st rain band just passed through my part of town and projected landfall is now between 9PM and Midnight ET. Wind gusts have been unremarkable for me so far.

I am 20 miles inland from the coast so we should be sheltered from the worst winds however once the rain gets really going gusts could be an issue..

Just another summer in Florida

Just wish they would stop interrupting the Indy race for updates every 15 minutes

I sailed through edges of Alberto and Beryl. Not a lot of fun but not terrible.

Well folks Beryl isn't gone yet but so far it has been more bluster then bite, at least for my Family.

Winds never got above ~35 mph here and no damage, we had one brief power outage last night but it lasted only a few minutes. The yards are covered with small limbs but at least in my neck of the woods not much more than that.

Some portions of Jacksonville and The First Coast received far worse but we got lucky yet again... Knock on....

I did finally get rain but not a whole lot. Just all day long.
