Raditaz Radio Web Site and Mobile Phone Apps

Hi All,

Raditaz (where I've been working since I stopped consulting) has just released the new version of our free internet radio service. You can create stations, tag them, and even assign them a location (if using a mobile phone).

You can also listen to other peoples stations by searching or just seeing what's nearby. There are also a bunch of prebuilt stations that let you listen to top hits by year, decade, or music genre.

When you find something you like, you can share it via Facebook, Twitter, email, or by posting a link in your favorite web host's forums

One new group I discovered on Raditaz is Jaga Jazzist - they do a great job blending wild electronics with improvisation that doesn't water down either.

The web site is http://www.raditaz.com - you can listen in your browser, or follow links to get the Android or iPhone App (which is what I've been working on).

Our Facebook page is http://www.facebook.com/raditaz

Thanks!

- Tom

Re: Raditaz Radio Web Site and Mobile Phone Apps

One day while I had a few minutes I checked out Tom's Raditaz recommendation, then over a couple of weeks I played with it and I am now to the point where I am listening to Raditaz daily on my home stereo system and have replaced Pandora with Raditaz on my phone.

My two oldest daughters have also replaced Pandora on their phones with Raditaz and my Middle daughter (in High School) tells me all of her friends are using Raditaz now, seems they LOVE the unlimited skip option, LOL.

I think the sound quality is just outstanding and while I don't use the social aspects my Daughters do...

I also had the opportunity to contact the folks behind Raditaz with a suggestion and their response was very quick and obviously not canned...

Just adding my two cents, Raditaz is worth checking out

Re: Raditaz Radio Web Site and Mobile Phone Apps

Bob thanks for checking us out.

We are currently working on adding more options for creating stations. Soon you'll be able to seed a station with up to 5 different artists, and be able to select if you want the similar artists in the station to be popular, or less well-known or a mix. You'll also be able to select the proportion of songs in the station that are hits vs. unfamiliar album tracks.
