Is there a good web based IP whois that will automatically forward to the correct NIC and proceed with lookup?
E.g. now if I lookup an IP on
www.arin.net if the IP isn't allocated through arin.net I simply get a page telling me that it's actually registered through lanic or ripe, etc.
I like the way the rh/centos command line whois automatically redirects and looks up at the proper other nic if necessary and returns the result, but sometimes I'm not at a command prompt. Is there a good web based whois that does the same?
I usually want the info about the IP and also the IP block allocation it's part of.
