Mobile Web Dev Basics
I'm a wiz at standard website development, but I am realizing that I had better get up to speed about developing sites for mobile browsers. Can anyone point me to some basics?
I'm getting a mobile.mysite.com subdomain, and may get a second and third (mobile2 and mobile3) so that all three common mobile screen sizes each have their own version of my website. But first, I'm looking for step-by-step answers to things like:
- Create in HTML but give the files a WML extension? Could it really be that simple?
- Do regular screen font sizes appear the same size on a mobile device?
- Tutorial about setting up automatic browser detection and redirect using PHP or .htaccess or some other method?
Thanks 1,000,000!
