IE testing (IE browser shots)

I found the following to be a handy site trying to get a pure css layout to render correctly in older IE versions. The IE browser shot overlay feature is neat.

That's cool! Browserlab has a similar "onionskin" feature.

Re: IE testing (IE browser shots)

Thanks oheso. Do yo know what the cost of adobe's browserlab is? It appears with my dreamweaver cs5 purchase I have a complimentary 12 months but I don't find a price per month/year after the complimentary period expires so I hesitated to proceed to sign up for it.

Re: IE testing (IE browser shots)

I've never had to pay for it, but they have gone back and forth on making it available. I signed up once when it was completely open. It's been more than a year, though.

I'd say try it for the complimentary 12 months and then see if they keep it rolling. Of course if they have your CC then make sure to keep an eye on it -- that they don't just convert it to a charge.

(I've heard of some outfits doing this, but I've never heard of Adobe doing it. I just want to make clear I'm not accusing anyone of anything.)
