As an FQ customer for the past 10 years, one thing that always frustrated me was the process for obtaining a certificate signing request (CSR). For a while my company purchased CSRs, but the cost and delay motivated me to learn to do this myself. Although quicker and cheaper, that process was tedious and error prone. There
had to be a better way, so I wrote a script to streamline the process. After extensive testing and refinement with actual SSL certificates, that tool is
freely available to you!
How to access our automated CSR generation tool
Choose an
SSL certificate from our website (no affiliation with FutureQuest) and add to cart. Click the "set up" button on the next page, then click the "CSR" hyperlink. The CSR generation tool will open in a pop-up window (or a new window if JavaScript is disabled). Fill in all the fields and click "Generate CSR."
If you decide to purchase an SSL certificate from us, be sure the Domain Name you specify matches the
exact address you specified in the CSR (for verification). The first entry (Apache + MOD SSL) is the appropriate server type for FutureQuest. When you click "Save & Continue" the validity of your CSR will be further verified, so you can be absolutely sure your CSR is correct.
No purchase is required
Although we have priced GeoTrust, Thawte, and Verisign certificates very attractively, there is no requirement that you purchase your SSL certificate from our website. Your CSR will work with any certificate authority (CA) or reseller.

Things to keep in mind
Although we do not currently list warranties included with specific SSL products, the features / warranties included with certificates purchased from our website are identical to what the CA (certificate authority) offers for the same product.
At this time, SSL orders are being handled manually in order to make sure the process flows smoothly. Please keep this in mind if you order a quick validation product and allow up to 24 hours for receipt of validation e-mail. This will change in the near future.
US customers may order by credit card (Visa, MC, Amex) or PayPal. International customers may order by PayPal. We're working on adding 2Checkout as an additional payment method for international customers.
