PHP help!

My site developer has gone AWOL and I am not skilled or patient enough to figure out how to tell whether my site on FutureQuest is running script that will translate into PHP5 without a problem. I am willing to hire someone who can do the job before the November 8 transition deadline. References are a must! Please help!

Thanks a bunch,
Sara

Re: PHP help!

Sara, is the website you are worried about the one shown in your profile?

Have you checked your CNC section to see which version of PHP you are on?

Did FutureQuest email you about having a script running on PHP4?

You might not need to do anything at all depending upon the answers. I just went through what I would consider a major upgrade and the tab was $210 total. You can get lots of help here, if you just ask. And, the price is right.

Re: PHP help!

I am in the exact same boat! Our site does not DO anything; it is just HTML code as far as I know...(it looks like it's from 1982!) I can't imagine there are any scripts running that would be affected, but I would love for someone with a clue to confirm for me...

Re: PHP help!

This isn't foolproof, but you could login to your account via SSH, and from /big/dom/xDOM (replace DOM with your account info) run the command
Code:
find . -name '*.php' -print
This will tell you if there are files that end in .php, indicating you have PHP scripts. Although .php is the most common extension, others are possible as well.

Re: PHP help!

Jess,

Or...

If you check your CNC File Manager and look in your /big/dom/xdomain and /big/dom/xdomain/www directories and you do not see any files that end in .php then most likely you are not running any PHP based scripts and would not need to be concerned with the upgrade.
