I need help with a website template

Hi. I did teach myself html and create two websites for myself, but beyond that, I'm not very tech savvy, and would greatly appreciate being pointed in the right direction:

I would like my site as a Professional Organizer/Lifestyle Manager - www.RemarkableTransformations.com to take on a more professional look. I had someone recommend me to a site that has web templates and I found one I like, but I have absolutely no idea how to proceed.

I'd like to take my existing site as is, and simply plug the info into a more tailored format - thus the desire for using a template.

Does Future Quest have any templates that we can use? Whether they do or I use one from somewhere else, how do I proceed? Do I have to dismantle my whole site and begin again? Again -- I'm not tech savvy at all, so I really would appreciate anyone who can assist me with good, clear, simple step by step guidance.

No, we do not. There are a number of sites on the Internet that offer templates, either free or for a fee. One such site is
http://www.oswd.org

Also, some website building tools come with templates included.

This really depends on your goals and the templates you are using, and how you've built the site that you already have in place. It's really just not possible to respond definitively to your question based on the information we have been provided so far.

Re: I need help with a website template

Hi Sheila,

Thanks for the quick response. Do you know if it's possible to have a conversation with someone from Future Quest directly - either via web chat or telephone - about how I might incorporate a template into the site I have already built from scratch?

The site I am interested in giving an overhaul is www.RemarkableTransformations.com

Re: I need help with a website template

I'm afraid the FutureQuest Team doesn't provide direct support for website development or site building/design, such as you are looking for, so no... we wouldn't be able to help you with that through a chat or phone call.

Your best bet is either to provide more details and information here and see if the community (which does include the FutureQuest Team) can assist you, or else to hook up with some website designer or hobbyist who is willing to provide you with some guidance. There's a lot to be said for local, face-to-face assistance, but you would also be welcome to post requests for help here (see also our "Contract or Be Contracted" forum) or to search for professional help from our Hosted Site directory at http://www.Net-Sleuth.net

I took a quick look at your site, and it looks like it's straight HTML files.

In that case, I'd probably just get the template files, make copies of the template for all the pages you want, and copy and paste content from your original files into the template files. Assuming you found/find a template that is pretty much just what you want, it could go quite quickly.
