That's OK, Wasser probably forgot that he mentioned x-rays in that one too.
How my Swiss-cheese brain retained this information (not the ladder part, just that he'd injured something and there was a thread about it) is anyone's guess.

I remember saying the x-ray thing, but not to whom. I get gw, tknterry, and Tom E. confused.

Wasser, you make us confused or you get our nicknames confused?! I do not know how it can be the latter. Therefore, the former seems much more probable.
George, it looks like it was a bad break, and a painful one. I hope your hand therapy is progressing well.

Accidental insult or otherwise, there's a big gap between Seattle, Connecticut and the Galapagos. And anyone can tell you that's a Seattle opossum in George's avatar. Dead giveaway.

I took a couple months off with the remainder being "light duty". Which means I pretty much had only enough left-handed keystrokes in a given day to do only what had to be done or which nobody else could do. I switched my mouse to a left handed track ball for a while. And yes I'm right handed.
|
My left hand is pretty useless (ask it and it will agree with me), so I can imagine how it would slow me down. I spend 90% of my waking life with a keyboard and mouse in hand(s).
Is your right hand becoming semi-usable now?

Re: What I did on my last hiatus
I remember various things about you three but can't match them to the correct person. Seeing your location helps a little. I think subconsciously I put you three in the "active newcomer" category and don't feel I need to narrow it down. Kind of like Newhart's Darryl and Tony Orlando's Dawn, except I know the difference between them, but you have to understand that I grew up watching them and I'm not in my formative years any more.

Disregarding the most basic rules of tact and good manners in order to make a point or even to feed your own ego is bad enough, but to do so simply to excuse your own inattention, and to voice an insipid inner dialog about your thought process is such a monumental lack of grace that even I, after all these years, am astonished at your unabashed solipsism. No excuse at all or a simple "oops, I forgot" would be preferable to needlessly insulting three people.
I apologize for my "friend."

I'd rather be needlessy insulted than deservedly.
I must admit that it took me about 2 years before I noticed the second 'r' in Wassercrats. Until then, I thought "Wassercats" was some cool new genetically engineered feline species that actually enjoyed getting wet.
I'll take some blame for the confusion, because I had briefly changed my avatar to my broken hand X-ray about a day before George's first injury post.

It took tknterry about 2 1/2 months, from here to here.

Re: What I did on my last hiatus
Well, I do get them confused, but sorry if I insulted anyone. At some point I got better at distinguishing them, but I think it was recent. I know there are distinct differences between them and between their names, but I can't help it.

How about voice-recognition software?
