Olympian FQ Joggers and Trick Cyclists

Any runners on our servers?

Just a few weeks to go to shave a few more milliseconds off your PBT, and grease your bearings.

How's your training coming along?

Are you seriously looking for Olympians here? (That thread title is kind of intimidating.) Of course, Olympians run, they don't jog.

Perhaps: "Olympian" FQ Joggers and Trick Cyclists?

You have to careful using irony in 8bit format.

If I'd asked if we have any Triathletes on the servers, all I'd get would be an echo.

Re: Olympian FQ Joggers and Trick Cyclists

I could have been a sprinter. I had a chance to have my speed discovered in high school in some kind of mandatory race but I had a bad start and the teacher didn't care that I caught up to everyone and was gaining on the leader. And it's kind of hard for a 41 year old to get a sprinting career started outside of school, but there's still paddleball and I'll know soon enough how much skill I lost at that. Unfortunately, it's not an olympic sport and I'll probably destroy my knees and suffer from arthritis in my final years.

Untapped talent here it seems.

"Paddleball" ?? Canoes? Water polo?

Yes, sprinters do seem to have a pretty short life-expectancy, and lots of holidays in Mexico.

Cycling would be gentler on your kneebones ol'chap.
In fact, clued-in medics recommend cycling instead of corticosteroids.
Smooth rotation instead of constant jarring.

Have a look at the TdF sprinters on todays time trial and you may get inspired.

Bicyclists are subject to sudden and catastrophic, sometimes fatal injuries. But that aside it's quite safe.

Stair climbing will never be an Olympic event, it should be.
