oscommerce Store having mysql server problems
hey guys 3 days ago i moved my site ( oscommerce php based) to a "futurequest.net" and after uploading my site most of my site got screwed.
my site was running perfect for few years on this server ( my older host)
PHP version 4.4.7
MySQL version 4.1.22-standard-log
cPanel Build 11.16.0-STABLE 18450
FQ got different mysql version
Linux Kernel: 2.4.33
Apache Version: 1.3.37
MySQL Version: 5.0.44
Perl Version: 5.6.1
Python 1 Version: 1.5.2
Python 2 Version: 2.4.3
PHP CGI Version: 4.3.10
PHP Module Version: 5.2.0
and because of this i was getting 1054 error when i vistited categores, sub categories, manufacturers pages. some how i fixed that and notcied that my admin side wasnt working. like everything was blank, got someone to fix that ..... And now the contact_us page isnt working.. not receiving any emailsfrom customers. everything looks fine but just wont get emails. Paypal ipn also stopped working, i can see paypal orders in admin but it wont show if the payment actully went through or not.. the status just says paypal pending....
iam not sure what other problems i might face in future so can someone please tell me what should i do???
i even hired a programmer to fix the issue but today he just emailed me and said the server change/upgrade is causing too many problems and its better for you to just switch the host..
nways i really like FQ and was wondering if anything can be done?? If not then i have no choice but to move anyone know another reliable host ??
