help with view in Squirrel Mail

The column width in squirrel mail: The From column is too wide and it makes the subject too far away to check it against the from. I can't figure out how to change it. Which display option is this? Can anyone tell me how to do it? I'm checking my mail on the web- not downloaded. Thanks.

I do not see a way to adjust the From and Subject shown lines in QuestMail but we certainly can, and will, put it on the WIBNI list (wouldn't it be nice if) and see what the Developer says.

I have my own install of SquirrelMail on one of my accounts and there are options that can be enabled that allow for the following options:

Length of From/To Field (0 for full):
Length of Subject Field (0 for full):

So you can modify the number of characters displayed in either field which I believe would accomplish what you are looking for, not sure if you want to install your own but there is a couple of posts in the Forums regarding doing so, below is one...

I do have to say that having your own install allows for a number of options not supported for QuestMail for resource reasons...

My biggest problem with squirrel mail is that the squirrels run randomly over the keyboard and never log in properly.

I know this is an OLD subject.. buT I was having the same issue and I found what was causing the large width in the FROM field in the inbox.

Go to OPTIONS
Click on "Display Preferences"
Next to "Maximum Number of Pages to Show", put a small number. I have 10 and it shrunk my from display field.
