Re: The last word...
Careful. "Sss-sss-sss-sss-sss-sss..." is what I sound like when I'm laughing sometimes.
You don't want to be known as "Sounds Like Randall's Stupid Laugh," do you?

Re: The last word...
I felt all motivated when I found out about masters tournaments for sprinters, where there's a 40-45 age group, and someone told me what time I need to be competitive (under 12 seconds in the 100 meters). Then I felt old thinking about last summer's injury that still isn't 100% healed and I started looking for a fold-up cane just in case I get hurt where I plan on timing myself. Then I found folding hiking staffs. Even young healthy people use them when hiking and they could be used a monopods for cameras so I got my excuse.
Stopwatch, staff, and speed. They'll call me Triple S. Or SSS. Maybe Sss. They're not saying be quiet, they're chanting SSS.
My foot better heal though.

How would that be spelled in Italian?
Run Barry, run. (sung to the tune of "Run Forrest, run.")

I don't speak Italian, but ... "si-si-si-si-si-si"? Or maybe that should be a short "e."
There doesn't seem to be anyhting equivalent to the English short "i" or "oo" sounds. Whatever they think a snake sounds like, I guess.

Re: The last word...
That translates to yes - yes - yes - yes - yes - yes which is an amiable laughter. Thank you for indulging my curiosity. Snake?

An Italian snake would say sss in Italian. Find one of those snakes with legs, teach it to write, and there's your answer.

Re: The last word...
Yes, an Italian snake with legs and writing ability should also be a skilled film maker and be versed in many media. But finding such a creature was not my goal. I'll keep this in mind though and thank you for your input.
I'm still intrigued with the concept of being addicted to placebo drugs because it goes to the very nature of addiction itself. I think I've been addicted to exercise. Placebo exercise would be going to the gym, dressing in exercise apparel and going through the motions of a workout without actually exerting one's self.
