Just like bad webhosts, there are bad journalists. A quick read of the Columbia Journalism Review will show you that.

I always get a chuckle out of the ones that go waiding into flood waters having known for years (and as Monty reiterated here this week) that flooding water often contains raw sewage. With another hurricane coming up, it's likely we'll see some bonehead wading into the surf again as well for good dramatic effect. We put a little betting pool together at work each storm as to whether one will simply float during a live shot

When I read the thread title, I thought it would be a rant about TV talking heads treating the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth as if there was something of merit in their li- er, claims.

Does keeping a journal make one a journalist?

I wouldn't call punditry "journalism."
