Has anyone order software off this site www.allthesoft.net as they have incredible deals. They are really unbelievable on the prices. I would like try them out, but very unsure about them.

Thanks,

Clint

There's no way I'd trust that website. It has no Google page rank, it's brand new, and it looks like it's based in Russia, where alot of cyber crime takes place. How could they already have so many testimonials? (I don't want to help their page rank by linking to them, but the relative link is: /?page=testimonials

And "d) Can I get a discount? Can I resell your software?
Sure, please read more information about our bonuses and wholesale prices." sounds illegal, but I'm not sure. I don't know where the "more information" is.

You mean there's software you have to pay for? No open source?!? Actually they have some nice prices, though there are some places out there that are legit I'm not too sure I'd trust these folks.

A google search produced this can't really read it as what little german I knew has gotten rusty.

A clever scam. This site reminds me of a lot of the spam subject lines I see, I'll bet they do "email marketing."

I grabbed some text on their testimonials page, and did a google search for it. Looks like they have ripped off another company. (Someone did this to Dotgarden recently, ripped off all my testimonials. Word for word)

I searched google for:
Quote:
Excellent service and fast shipping. I have purchased Adobe software from them in the past and plan on using them in the future. Use with confidence-they are a great company.
and the exact same wording showed up on another site.

There's no such thing as an OEM version of Photoshop CS, so that's a red flag right there.

When I asked for Photoshop at work last year, one of our members said they could get us a great deal on it. Turns out the company -- a publishing company, which should know better -- bought it from some place in Russia that sells "OEM" software on CD-Rs.

That's what I thought too, and I thought I'd seen their name pass through my Junk mail filter (that filters what makes it through SpamAssassin - which isn't much.) I rummaged through the trash but didn't see it so I'm not sure. But I wouldn't be surprised.

If it looks too good to be true, it usually is.

Or worse.

Assuming you ever even receive the "software" -- you may be in for a very unpleasant surprise.

I recently had a report from a computer shop for whom I occasionally consult of an instance where the CD received from such a source did only one thing...

It formatted the unwary user's hard drive.

I've also had several reports of "Key-Gen" software keyers -- small programs you download from crackz and warez sites that create illegal keys for legitimate software -- that install trojans or damage the system in other ways.

I've got a bridge I'll sell ya too.

If you are a student you can always get discounts that way (and often even if you are not a student)

two things I won't by from unknown entities:

1. Bridges
2. Software

There's probably more, but my brain is currently munching on vegetables in a vain attempt to rejuvenate itself.
