New Idea Of A Filter For SA?

Hello,

I was wondering if there would be a way to test the "To:" box and see if it has a vaild email address, I have notice that spam sometimes doesn't come with a email address via "To:", and most of the time, maybe never would be regular email. Any way FQ can add that to one of the SA Filters?

Thanks.

I think I added this to the wrong section, sorry.

Even though it may sound simple to add this SA filter, it really isn't...

I would have to reject this request for a few reasons:
1) SA does not have intimate knowledge of the underlying final delivery... All it sees is the email itself, and has no vision to see if a POP box is valid or not... To add such hooks would require massive and intrusive changes to SA to tie into our CVM authentication subsystems...

2) SA doesn't actually have the 'recipient' information, and one cannot trust the information in the headers... The 'Delivered-To:' is not added until the very final stage of each email delivery...

3) We want to minimize the number of custom changes to SA, as we need to be able to easily keep it upgraded... When you start making a ton of changes, the turnaround time for upgrades goes down the tubes due to all the qualification and verification work required to see if our enhancements still work and are unaffected by a core change in SA (whether an obvious change or not)...

In short, SA needs to be as forward mobile as possible, and that pretty much requires we keep it as close to the baseline trunk as possible... Any changes we make, are required to be as simplistic as possible to reduce any chance of collisions...
