CNC Certificate Manager & Let's Encrypt SSL/TLS Support

FutureQuest is very pleased to announce a new CNC Module, "Certificate Manager", has been made available to all accounts today.

The "Certificate Manager" will allow each account holder the ability to view their TLS/SSL Certificate information, such as expiration date, as well as update their certificate themselves.

A Knowledgebase Article regarding the "Certificate Manager" can be viewed here:
https://Service.FutureQuest.net/kba618

Also as promised in this earlier post, FutureQuest is now providing full Let's Encrypt TLS/SSL Certificate support, including automatic updates.

Each account that currently has a Let's Encrypt TLS/SSL Certificate (and those that add one in the future) will have their certificate automatically updated 15 days prior to expiration.
There is no need for any action to be taken by the account holder for this.

Additionally, when you initially Order a TLS/SSL Certificate Installation there will be an option to select a Let's Encrypt TLS/SSL Certificate and FutureQuest will create your initial certificate for you and install that certificate.

This does not, in any way, reduce support for TLS/SSL Certificates from other Issuers such as Thawte, GoDaddy, Verisign, etc... which will also be managed from your CNC "Certificate Manager" once initial installation is completed.

However as a result of instituting full Let's Encrypt Certificate support (which is a FREE Certificate) FutureQuest will no longer be providing New Shared Certificate Installations. Existing Shared Certificates will remain valid as long as the package remains active. Existing Shared certificate holders can upgrade to a Let's Encrypt, or other Private Certficate, by placing the appropriate order from their QuestAdmin login, normal pricing will apply. ( http://www.QuestAdmin.net/ )

We hope that this will make the process of maintaining Secure Certificates a bit easier and remove another barrier for site owners to make their sites HTTPS accessible.
