How do you decide what discount I get?
We don't, you do! It's totally up to you. FutureQuest wants all resellers to
know they are important to us! Whether you resell one web site every 6 months or
100 web sites a day, you deserve the FutureQuest Advantage!

What services or packages are -not- discounted?
You may receive a Reseller's Discount on all IRO, IRM, Parked, External Redirections, Visionary, Pioneer, Prospector, Trailblazer, Voyager, Odyssey, High Capacity and Managed QuestServer packages that you order with your Reseller's ID# (RID). You will not receive the Reseller's Discount for the Unmanaged QuestServers, Colocation, or Value Added Services (VAS) such as extra Disk Space, Bandwidth, FTP accounts, etc, with the exception of Private and Let's Encrypt Secure Server Installations which receive a 50% and 100% discount respectively.
Full Packages, under your reseller account, that were purchased with any other special offer such as coupons or nonprofit discounts, or that have been placed on the Annual Payment Plan, will not receive reseller discounts (but will qualify for points). Qualified full packages must be on the monthly invoicing plan to receive discounts, however, you are welcomed to prepay several months in advance if you wish to do so.
Value Added Services, IROs/IRMs, Parked and Externally Redirected domains do not receive points, however the Visionary, Pioneer, Prospector, Trailblazer, Voyager, Odyssey, High-Capacity, and QuestServer Packages do receive points, as shown above.
Can I combine coupons, Renewal Rewards, or other discounts with my Reseller's Discount?
No. Each package may only receive one discount. When you use choose to receive Reseller Discounts, the package is invoiced monthly and the service fee is based on the points you have at the time the charge is added (15 days prior to the due date). If you choose to take advantage of a coupon or Renewal Reward, and/or place the package on an annual service term, then the reseller discounts will not be applied.
Note, however, you will still receive points for the package. When placing your order simply decide which discount and payment plan works best for you. If you enter a coupon code or choose to pay annually then you will receive the appropriate discount and points but not the reseller discount. If you do not enter a coupon code and chose to pay monthly, then you will receive the reseller's discount. Either way, it is important that you include your RID Number within the order.
How do I place the orders and receive the discount?
Once you have applied for and received your RID License, simply visit the Order Form and submit the request, being sure to include your Reseller's ID# number with your order. Whatever you charge the client is what you collect. You bill each of your clients directly and pay FutureQuest the published price minus your automatically applied discount.
What happens to my clients after they are set up on your server?
Your clients will receive the same great service as the other site owners hosted on FutureQuest, minus the interaction with our support staff. FutureQuest will support you 100% so you will be able to support your clients. You may offer them all of the information about FutureQuest, how to use our pre-installed scripts, how to utilize the CNC, and where to find our tutorials, or you may keep us a secret2. It's up to you.
Can you remove the FutureQuest Branding from my account's Control Panel(s)?
Yes! If you prefer the packages under your account to have a NO-BRAND Control Panel, and you have an active RID License, contact us to request the NO-BRAND CNC and we will get it setup for you. This will enable you to provide your clients with access to their CNC without the FutureQuest Branding appearing on it.
What if I had accounts with FutureQuest before I received my ID#, will they now be discounted too?
Packages, under your account, that are ordered using the Reseller's ID# will be discounted. Packages, under your account, that were ordered prior to you obtaining your RID License, and that are on the monthly payment plan, will also become discounted once your RID License is active. Accounts on the Annual Payment Plan will not be discounted. This is because the Reseller's Advantage does not apply to packages on the annual payment plan. It will be up to you to decide if you prefer the full price annual payment plan (along with the renewal credits or specials you may have received for committing to 12 months of service) or if you prefer to switch to the monthly plan to obtain your reseller discounts.
Will I receive points for my non-discounted packages?
Yes, points will be calculated for all packages residing under your main reseller's account. For example, if you have two packages on the annual plan we will include the points for both of the packages.
I do not plan to renew my RID License. What will happen to the resold accounts when the license expires?
When a RID License expires there is no Reseller's Advantage which means the discounts would be stopped at that time. A package that was only 50% of the listed price would now be 100%. If you no longer wish to support the resold account, you are welcome/encouraged to introduce them to FutureQuest so that we may continue their services under our listed plans.
I have a resold account that wishes to obtain their own Full Package under their own name, what do I need to do?
This can be done via a Change of Ownership request. To ensure it is processed correctly send an email to Service@FutureQuest.net, outlining the changes required and we will provide you with the details needed to make it happen. Please note: removing a package from your reseller's account may result in a change in your total points, which can affect future discounts and payments.
May I share my discounts with others but allow them to sign up under their own name so they may be billed and supported separately?
No, in order to receive the Resellers Advantage the account(s) must be ordered under the name and ID# of the reseller. The owner of the RID License will in fact be responsible for the billing and support of any accounts that are activated under that ID#. To receive commissions without being bound by the Reseller's Advantage, FutureQuest offers the QuestAffiliates program. May I sign up as a QuestAffiliate even if I am already a Reseller?
Yes, Absolutely! You will not receive both a Reseller's Discount and a QuestAffiliate Commission on a single sale, but you are certainly welcome to be a part of both programs and to choose the one that works best when ordering a package.
Why have I not received my Reseller's ID# yet?
If you have requested your RID License, and have already submitted the payment for the license, but have not yet received it, please send an email to Service@FutureQuest.net or visit the Service Desk to inquire about the status of your request.
I would like my packages to be invoiced separately to multiple addresses. Will you do this?
The packages under a Reseller's account reflect all of the same contact information as the Reseller's account. To change the contact information for some of your packages would require those packages to be set up as separate accounts from your Reseller's account, which may result in lower points and higher prices for some or all of your packages. However, if you wish to make this change, send an email to Service@FutureQuest.net, outlining the specific changes required, and we will work with you to accomplish the task.
I am going on vacation, can FutureQuest provide support directly to my resold accounts while I am away?
No, FutureQuest can only provide direct support to the Qualified Contact as listed on the account. You would need to, and should, make prior arrangements with a third party to provide support during the time you will be away as well as informing your clients of the situation.
I had packages on the annual plan prior to December 27th, 2004 when this new Reseller Plan went into effect. Will you automatically switch them to the Reseller's Monthly Discounted Rate or what?
Packages on the annual service term that are due to renew after December 27th, 2005 (e.g. were ordered after Dec 27th, 2004), and/or packages that are under an account that has 4 or less points, will not have any changes made to their service terms by FutureQuest unless requested by the reseller. Packages that are due to renew before December 27th, 2005 (e.g. were ordered before Dec 27th, 2004) will change according to the following rule.
If the RID License has 5 or more points then the annual package will be switched to the Reseller's Discounted Monthly Payment plan. For those resellers that maintain the old Qualifying Package, rather than the new RID License, this rule will apply to all packages with the exception of the Qualifying Package.
If the payment terms your packages are on are not what you prefer, and the next service fee is due within 30 days, contact us to request the service term be changed.
1 At least one FutureQuest Full Package is required at all times for the RID License to remain in an Active Status. Breaking the Reseller's Advantage Agreement can result in the termination of the RID License. The Annual License fee is non-refundable.
2 FutureQuest does not currently offer DNS aliasing. At this
time all domains hosted by FutureQuest will show this fact via a Whois lookup. If the resold client is given access to the CNC this will reveal FutureQuest unless the reseller has requested that FutureQuest install the No-Brand Control Panel.
* The free Parked Domain and External Redirection offer is in place to help you help your clients to begin their hosting experience. It is not intended for large scale "free offers". For this reason a combined limit of 300 Parked and External Redirections, per 12 month period, may be activated at no charge under the Reseller's Advantage. After the first 300 the regular setup fees will apply.
